Dancing all the way to Costa Rica
Hello all! It has been a very busy and eventful semester, which is why I am just now getting a chance to write a newsletter.
Arrows started the semester with a trip to Greenville, accompanied by the junior company, for Project dance. There we performed in an outdoor amphitheater at an all day concert and took classes with other christian artists. I was even asked to help Ad Deum (a modern company that works alongside Arrows and Project dance) lead worship on our last day before classes. We also ministered at a few other places, such as a boys and girls club, and a nursing home.
After Greenville, we had local outreaches in Oklahoma, as well as a five-day tour week in Memphis, where we did a lot of street ministry, as well as worked with a group of girls the whole time we were there. That was really cool, being able to bond with them more than one day, influencing and teaching them all week. They were such sweet kids. We also danced on the famous Beale street, as well as an Ole Miss basketball game. God definitely planted seeds in Memphis. So many different types of outreaches, reaching so many different types of people.
Our next big trip is a two-week tour around Costa Rica (and possibly Nicaragua) in January, and will consist of outreaches similar to what we did in Memphis/India last year, including: in schools, churches, retirement centers, and the streets.
I have been blessed that a good portion of my trip is already paid for, but I am still in need of $200 by January 2nd. Our team also needs as much prayer support as possible. Here are some things to pray for:
- Health and protection over our bodies – There are several old injuries acting up, and we’ll be doing multiple outreaches a day, so it’s important that we are able to be fully able to dance.
- Financial provision – We have 13 out of 14 members going and that’s a lot of money. Please pray God provides everything needs for the team to go.
- The opening of the right doors.
I can always use prayer support, but if you feel like God is leading you to support me financially, you can go to arrowsintl.org and donate via Paypal. Make sure to write Lyanna/Costa Rica in the memo section. Arrows is a non-profit organization, so you’ll even get a tax deduction!
Praying God blesses for you for sewing into His Kingdom, and for blessing me with your obedience to Him. I cannot wait to come home and tell of what God does in Costa Rica! Hope you have a very merry Christmas!
